No Freedom For Najib

Mar 31, 2023

The Federal Court has rejected Datuk Seri NajiB Razak’s application to review his SRC SRC International conviction and 12 year jail sentence.

In a 4-1 majority decision, the court ruled that there was no bias or breach of natural justice in his trial.

However, the former PM’s lawyer Tan Sri Shafee Abdullah claims that the opinion expressed by the sole dissenting judge could be used to help push for another review.

Meanwhile, lead prosecutor Datuk V Sithambaram hailed the Federal Court’s decision, saying it sent a very clear warning to anyone breaking the law.

He insists that Najib has now exhausted ALL avenues of appeal and urged everyone to accept the decision.
