Social Media Monitoring Ahead of State Polls

Authorities will be keeping a close eye on social media, in the run-up to the upcoming state elections.
The Communications and Digital Ministry says its working together with PDRM and the respective social media platforms, to crack down on fake news and hate speech.
Its also advising netizens to properly verify information before sharing.

Malaysians – especially those in the lower-income groups – will soon get to enjoy affordable insurance coverage.
The Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Minister says the highly-anticipated Rahmah Insurance Scheme is expected to be launched at the end of the month.
It comes on the back of the government’s successful Jualan and Menu Rahmah initiatives…to provide affordable necessities and meals.

13 areas nationwide are currently under a level-one heat alert, with temperatures of between 35 and 37 degrees Celsius for three consecutive days.
Pahang accounted for four of these areas, with the rest in Johor, Selangor, Kedah, Kelantan and Sabah.

The two are now set to work towards forming a coalition, to end nearly a decade of pro-military rule.
