Its official - the Penang state assembly will be dissolved tomorrow, to pave the way for the state election.

This, after the Chief Minister obtained the consent of the Yang Di-Pertua Negeri this morning for the dissolution.

Meanwhile, Terengganu’s Menteri Besar has had an audience with the Sultan, supposedly to seek royal consent to dissolve the state assembly.

The MB is expected to release a written statement later today to confirm the details.

Currently, Terengganu is the only one of the six states to contest in the upcoming elections, that has yet to announce a date for the dissolution of its assembly.
