Checks by the Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Ministry have found that the highest price for chicken was RM11 per kg on the first day of the removal of the ceiling price.

The lowest price on offer was RM6.49

It says of the over 1,400 premises inspected as of yesterday afternoon, only 68 were found to be selling chicken higher than the previous RM9.40 ceiling price.

Nearly 30 percent of Malaysia kids have stunted growth.

Deputy Health Minister Lukanisman Awang Sauni says this is because the rising cost of living is forcing some parents to opt for cheaper, but unhealthy diets.

He adds that Kelantan and Putrajaya have some of the highest ratios of kids suffering from stunted growth, further explaining, that the issue is not limited to any particular income group.

The number of flood evacuees in Perak has risen to over 370…with two evacuation centers each now in operation in Hilir Perak and Kerian.

According to the Social Welfare Department’s portal…there are also now around 74 flood evacuees in Johor Baru.

The Communications and Digital Ministry is considering making it compulsory for all social media platforms to register with the MCMC…to ensure that they comply with Malaysian laws.

Malaysia will start dispatching some 20 tonnes of aid to Palestine today, after receiving approval from Egypt for the shipment to be taken across its border into Gaza.

And, the Home Ministry says proposed amendments to the Constitution to resolve the issue of citizenship for kids born to Malaysian mothers overseas will be tabled in Parliament soon.
