The new salary scheme for civil servants will be announced before the end of next year.

The Prime Minister adds that the guidelines for the scheme will be prepared by the first quarter of next year, ahead of the official announcement.

In a related development, the government has allocated up to 40 million ringgit to train young civil servants in specific fields like Artificial Intelligence.

The Prime Minister says this is to reduce our dependence on foreign companies or consultants, which can be costly.
