MetMalaysia's Rain Alert for East Coast

MetMalaysia has issued an alert-level continuous rain warning for parts of the east coast until tomorrow.  

The affected areas are Dungun and Kemaman, in Terengganu; and Jerantut, Kuantan, Pekan and Rompin, Pahahg.  

A similar alert is also in place for Segamat, Mersing and Kota Tinggi, Johor.

This, as the Social Welfare Department's portal said over 25 thousand people are currently housed at temporary flood shelters in the east coast.  

15 thousand of the evacuees are in Kelantan, while there are 10 thousand flood victims in Terengganu and 500 in Pahang.

Also, search teams have found the body of the second girl, who was reported missing while playing in floodwaters in Rantau Panjang, Kelantan.  

She was found some 2km away from where she and her friend were first reported to have drowned.
