Water Tariff Hike Is No Excuse To Raise Prices

Traders have been warned NOT to use the impending water tariff revision as an excuse to unfairly raise prices.
According to the Malaysia Gazette, Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Minister Datuk Armizan Mohd. Ali says his ministry will keep an eye out on the situation, to ensure there are no attempts at profiteering..
The tariff revision for domestic water users in the Peninsular and Labuan will take effect starting February 1st.

MetMalaysia has issued a severe-level heavy rain alert for most districts in Terengganu until tomorrow.
It also issued a similar alert for Kuantan, Pahang.
Meanwhile according to the Social Welfare Dept's portal, the number of flood evacuees in Marang, Terengganu has risen to around 30.

A new report has named Malaysia as the third-most popular destination for foreign tourists during the Chinese New Year period, behind Japan and Thailand.
According to the digital travel platform Agoda, most of Malaysia's foreign tourists during this period are from Singapore, Brunei, China, Indonesia and South Korea.
