Agong Moved To Tears, Says Thank You To Malaysians

The Yang DiPertuan Agong has expressed his gratitude to all Malaysians for their love and support during his reign as King.
Al-Sultan Abdullah also called on the rakyat to continue upholding unity and the spirit of living as a community.
His Majesty said this at a state banquet ceremony last night, in conjunction with the completion of his reign.

The Met Department says we can start expecting hot and dry weather from next month.
It told The Star this is due to the expected end of the northeast monsoon in March…coupled with El Nino conditions.
This could result in reduced rainfall and higher temperatures especially for states in the north of the Peninsular…as well as the interior of Perak, Kelantan, Pahang and Sabah.

Members of the public are being urged to be careful about suspicious calls from individuals impersonating officers from the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission.
The MCMC clarified that all its business is conducted via its official email, website and social media channels.
It also said it does not ask people for banking details or personal information, adding that anyone with questions or doubts can contact the commission directly.

The Prime Minister says he will speak to China…about extending the stay of the two giant pandas that are currently on loan to Malaysia.
The pandas – which have been housed at a special enclosure at Zoo Negara since 2014 – are due to be sent home soon, upon the end of the 10-year loan.
