Tun Daim Charged In Court

Tun Daim Zainuddin has been charged at the KL Sessions Court with failing to comply with an MACC notice to declare his assets.
The 85-year-old former Finance Minister pleaded not guilty.
He is accused of failing to declare his ownership in 38 companies… 19 plots of land…six properties…and seven luxury vehicles.
If convicted, Tun Daim faces a jail term of up to five years and a fine of not more than RM100,000.

Figures from the National Scam Response Center show that more than 1.3 billion ringgit was lost to scams last year.
The most common offences were telecommunication scams, financial fraud, love scams and e-commerce scams.

The social welfare department’s portal shows the number of flood evacuees in Terengganu continues to decline…to just over 780 as of this morning.
