Govt Clamps Down On Energy Stick Ads
Feb 08, 2024
The Health Ministry will clamp down on ads promoting the sale of Energy Stick nasal inhalants.
According to its director general, it's because the product is not officially registered as a health product under the ministry.
And because health sticks are unregistered, traders selling them can face a maximum penalty of a RM25,000 fine and 3 years jail.
The ministry said this amid complaints that these energy sticks were being marketed to children.
