Man Fined RM23k For Navy Crash Post

A merchant has been fined RM23,000 ringgit over an offensive social media post about the recent navy helicopter accident in Lumut.
This is after he pleaded guilty to a charge under the Communications and Multimedia Act, for improper use of network facilities.
He also issued a public apology in court for his comments, which were posted on X.
10 navy personnel were killed, when two helicopters during rehearsals for the Navy's anniversary celebrations.

According to Bukit Aman traffic police, 1,902 road accidents were reported yesterday, with 6 fatalities.
This means that Malaysia recorded 78 thousand crashes since cops started publishing daily accident stats, back in mid-March.
This translates to an average of 1,800 accidents a day.
Meanwhile an average of 16 people lose their lives in road accidents daily.

According to MetMalaysia, no areas are currently under a Level-2 heatwave alert.
However, 13 areas in Kedah, Perak, Pahang, Kelantan and Sabah were under a less-severe Level-1 heat alert.

The Civil Aviation Authority says two people on board a light aircraft were unharmed after the plane was forced to make an emergency landing shortly after taking off from the Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport in Subang, this morning.
