CUEPACS Welcomes Civil Service Salary Hike
May 02, 2024
CUEPACS has welcomed the PM’s announcement of a minimum 13 percent salary increase for civil servants and the increase in the minimum overall monthly income to RM2,000.
It says this is necessary for government staff to cope with the rising cost of living.
Meanwhile, the government will continue to monitor the inflation rate in the wake of the civil service salary hike.
PM Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim says any increase in inflation must be kept under control, so as not to have an adverse effect on the economy.
