Fallen Tree Kills 1, 17 Cars Damaged

One person has died, after heavy rains uprooted a tree on Jalan Sultan Ismail, KL this afternoon.
The Fire and Rescue Department also confirmed that 17 vehicles were damaged.
The uprooted tree also affected monorail services in the area, after the trees branches fell on the track.
Rapid KL says services between KL Sentral and Medan Tuanku have been suspended.
It advised affected commuters to use alternative modes of transport, including its LRT and MRT services.

The first suspect detained over the acid attack on national footballer Faisal Halim has been cleared of any involvement.
This is after cops confirmed that the assailant rode a motorcycle with a fake license plate, using a registration number belonging to the first suspect.
Faisal suffered 4th degree burns following the attack at a mall in Kota Damansara.

Authorities confirmed that two Malaysians were among 8 people who were hurt in a bomb blast in Thailand's Narathiwat provice last night.
The Consulate General in Songkhla says the duo suffered minor injuries.
