MOH Statement On AZ Vaccine This Week

We can expect an announcement by this week regarding the reported adverse effects from AstraZeneca’s Covid vaccine.
The Health Ministry says it will reveal the numbers of Malaysians affected as well as other issues related to the drugmaker’s recent revelation.
This comes following a recent admission by AstraZeneca about rare cases of negative side effects from those who took its Covid vaccine.

Separately…the Ministry also says some 400 public clinics and healthcare facilities are currently being upgraded nationwide to the tune of around 150 million ringgit.

The government will take a holistic approach to address the issue of falling trees, including by examining possible links to climate change.
Natural Resources and Environmental Sustainability Minister Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad says relevant experts will also be brought in to give their views on the matter.
This comes in the wake of several fallen tree incidents in KL and Penang in the past week...including the fatal case along Jalan Sultan Ismail.
