Deadly Police Station Attack In Johor

Two police officers have been killed, while another was seriously injured in an attack on a police station in Ulu Tiram, Johor this morning. 

The Johor police chief confirmed that the masked suspect, who stormed the station armed with a machete, was fatally shot at the location. 

Cops are still investigating the motive for the attack.

The Works Ministry says six more highways have agreed to implement the Open Payment Toll Collection System from September, giving motorists the option of making payments using credit and debit cards.

The six new additions are the North-South Expressway, the Seremban-Port Dickson Highway, the Second Link Highway, the Grand Saga Highway, the Grand Sepadu, and the Setiawangsa-Pantai Expressway.

The Civil Aviation Authority has issued a safety alert in light of an increase in bird strikes at Malaysia's airports.   

It says 66 such incidents have been reported at various airports across the country in the first quarter of this year.

The Health Ministry has instructed the Health Director General to immediately redeploy house officers to district hospitals that are facing a shortage of doctors.

And a private company manager in Seremban is the latest to fall victim to scammers, losing over 400 thousand ringgit to a fake online investment scheme.
