May 29, 2024

good news for public transport users!

KTMB will be introducing a new ETS schedule and six more express services starting August.

It says the rescheduling is due to the completion of the Klang Valley Phase 1 upgrade project on the Rawang to KL Sentral sector.

Meanwhile, the six new ETS express services will include routes back and forth from KL Sentral to Ipoh, Butterworth, and Padang Besar among others.

Social media posts regarding issues involving the 3R's – namely race, religion, and royalty, have been on the rise since the MCO was enforced in 2020.

The Southeast Asia Regional Centre for Counter-Terrorism adds that over 60 such cases were detected online until mid-May this year alone.

As such, the center is urging Malaysians to focus on our similarities as a multiracial country and not our differences.

Meanwhile, it also revealed that Malaysians are the most active internet users in Southeast Asia.

It says Malaysians, epecially the young, are using the internet and social media for up to 8 hours and 17 minutes daily.

Globally, we rank third behind the UAE and Saudi Arabia, while outranking other countries with higher populations such as the Philippines and Thailand.

Think carefully before pursuing a career in medicine.

The Malaysian Medical Association says it's important for students to understand the core values of the profession first, and that they'll need to prioritize their patients.

It adds that medical studies will take time and money, with some programmes costing up to 650 thousand ringgit for five years.

Earlier this month, the association revealed that the number of medical course dropouts was at an alarming rate amid the continued struggles faced by the healthcare system.
