Klang Valley Water Cut Starts Today

Jun 05, 2024

klang valley water cut starts today

Air Selangor has reminded consumers in the Klang Valley to use water sparingly, during the water supply disruption that starts today.

It adds that it will deploy 180 water tanker trucks to affected areas, especially at critical premises like hospitals, clinics and dialysis centres.

The disruption, in Petaling, Klang, Shah Alam, Gombak, KL, Hulu Selangor and Kuala Selangor, is due to maintenance work at the Sungai Selangor Phase 1 water treatment plant.

Supplies are expected to resume in stages from early tomorrow morning.

Malaysia is moving closer to giving consumers better legal protections, if they buy defective vehicles.

The Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Ministry says such laws are due to be tabled in Parliament by March next year at the earliest.

According to its minister, it will either table new legislation, or make amendments to existing laws.

Under the proposed Lemon Law, buyers will be able to seek compensation for newly purchased vehicles that fail to meet quality or performance standards.

An international human rights group says Israel has so far dropped more than 70 thousand tonnes of bombs on Gaza since the start of the war there.

This is more than the total number of bombs dropped in London and two major German cities during World War 2!

Meanwhile the death toll there has already passed 35 thousand, while 83 thousand others are injured.

And Indian PM Narendra Modi has claimed victory in the country's general election, which would give him a record third term in office.

However, he is expected to miss out on a landslide win predicted by exit polls.
