UPDATE: 2nd Cyberbully Suspect Remanded

Police have obtained a four-day remand order on a second suspect over the cyberbullying and death of local social media influencer Esha.
The suspect, in his 40s, was detained in Setapak yesterday evening.
He's being investigated for public mischief and misuse of network facilities.
Cops have also obtained a two-day remand extension for the first suspect, who was arrested earlier.

Meanwhile, the Communications Ministry will present its plans to tackle cyberbullying to the cabinet tomorrow.
It says among other things, it will propose to either introduce a new law, or amend existing legislation, to better protect social media users.

The Malaysian Crime Prevention Foundation has criticised the reported use of vape vending machines at a mall in KL.
It says such machines could be illegal, because it makes it easy for children to buy vapes.

The Land Public Transport Agency has cancelled the operating license of the company behind the fatal tour bus accident Genting Highlands, which killed two Chinese tourists.
It said the company failed to comply with its licensing conditions and were given several summonses in the past.

According to Bukit Aman police 1,961 road crashes were reported nationwide yesterday.
Meanwhile there were 11 fatalities yesterday, meaning 150 people have lost their lives on our roads in just the first 10 days of July.
