Joe Biden has dropped out of the US presidential race…following pressure from his own party over concerns about his ability to serve another term.

The 81-year-old also endorsed his vice-president Kamala Harris, to be the new Democratic nominee.

Biden’s announcement comes just four months before Americans go to the polls.

If she receives the party’s blessing to run…Harris will become the first woman of Black and Asian descent to lead a major-party ticket.

The government will take action against several social media platforms,over their handling of past cases of cyberbullying.

Communications Minister Fahmi Fadzil says he’s not satisfied with how the companies have addressed the issue.

He adds that the government is also unhappy about a lack of action by the platforms against issues like scams and online gambling ads.

Meanwhile, amendments to the Penal Code to address cyberbullying will likely be tabled in Parliament this October.

De-facto Law Minister Datuk Seri Azalina Othman says a special task force, comprising four ministries, will undertake a comprehensive review of the amendments before they are tabled.

The review will include a proper definition of cyberbullying…which is currently not explicitly addressed in the constitution.

Police have confirmed that a suspect has been arrested, for allegedly abducting two young kids outside their home in Kuala Selangor.

Cops say they’re currently investigating the motive, and are also looking into possible links to a similar case back in April.

And, the top court in Bangladesh has scrapped most of the contentious quotas on government jobs, that had sparked violent and deadly student protests across the country.
