Air Selangor: Discolored Water Normal
Jul 24, 2024
Air Selangor has reassured that discolored water is normal as it works to restore water supply to affected areas across the Klang Valley.
The color is due to sediment that's settled in empty main pipes being stirred.
It also advised consumers to leave taps on for five to ten minutes until it's clear before consumption.
Earlier, state authorities revealed that the odor pollution that was detected in several rivers yesterday was likely caused by a factory that processes acrylic materials for recycling.
Meanwhile, the state Infrastructure and Agriculture Committee says supply will be restored to some users by 8AM tomorrow morning, while the disruption will be fully resolved by Friday.
