Social Media Co's To Register By October

Social media platforms are expected to submit their applications by October for the required operating license.
Communications Minister Fahmi Fadzil adds that engagement sessions will also be held with these companies, to ensure they fully understand the terms of the license.
Fahmi also assured that the process of obtaining the license is not difficult, with approval to be given within five working days.
This comes after the MCMC recently released its new regulatory framework, requiring social media and messaging apps to apply for an annual license.
