All signs currently point towards KL being safe to live in, despite last week’s sinkhole incident.

KL Mayor Datuk Seri Dr Maimunah Mohd Sharif says any claims about potential dangers need to be backed by strong evidence and thorough studies.

She said this after an old social media post went viral again…claiming that KL is at risk of a giant sinkhole due to the city’s limestone foundation and unregulated development.

The Home Ministry is focusing its monitoring on four of the country’s main entry points, to prevent the spread of Mpox in Malaysia.

These are both KLIA terminals…as well as the Sultan Iskandar Building and the Sultan Abu Bakar Complex – all of which account for three quarters of tourist arrivals.

All 39 crew members of the KD Pendekar navy ship are safe, after the vessel sank off the coast of Johor yesterday.
