mcmc to gather feedback on social media licensing move

The MCMC will be meeting industry players, to clear the air and get feedback regarding licensing for social media companies.

This is to ensure the final framework is fair, effective and reflective of the needs of both the public and the industry.

It comes after the government said it will be pressing ahead with the licensing requirement, despite concerns from industry players that the framework may be ‘unworkable’.

The Public Works Department has been directed to join the search for the Masjid India sinkhole victim by providing technical support.

This, as the search operation enters its sixth day today, with authorities turning their focus on the Pantai Dalam sewage treatment plant in the hope of finding new leads.

Sabah police have refuted the authenticity of a viral video, showing a concrete wall collapsing and crushing several cars, purportedly at a shopping mall in KK.

Cops say the incident actually occurred overseas…saying they’ve not received any reports of a wall collapsing.
