There's no need to worry about any possible retaliatory action by criminals or gang members, following the death of the Setia Alam mall shooter.  

The Selangor police chief says the suspect operated as a lone-wolf without any accomplices.  

The suspect was shot and killed by police in Pulau Ketam, earlier this week.

A bill on PERKESO's 24-hour worker coverage is expected to be tabled in the Dewan Rakyat this year.  

The HR Ministry says it's looking at the necessary legislative amendments to make this possible.  

The Ministry previously said that the scheme will extend PERKESO protections to workers if they get involved in accidents outside of their working hours.

The Health Ministry has vowed to step up efforts to curb the spread of HIV and increase awareness about the virus to high-risk groups.  

It pointed out that most HIV cases in Malaysia last year were due to unsafe sexual practices, and the use of illicit drugs among younger generations. 

Separately, the ministry says is still investigating the the leprosy outbreak among Orang Asli communities in Kuala Pilah, Negeri Sembilan that left one person dead.

Muslims will get confirmation next week on when the fasting month begins.  

This, after the office of the Keeper of the Rulers’ Seal said that the sighting of the new moon to determine the start of Ramadan will take place on Friday, February 28th.
