MACC And Economy Ministry Team Up

The MACC and Economy Ministry have set up a special team, to monitor ministry-approved projects at the state and district levels.

The team’s duties will include sharing info about the allocation for the projects, as well as carrying out spot checks to prevent misappropriation and abuse of power.

The MACC is also hoping that other ministries will follow suit, to set up similar teams.

The government has approved a 61 million ringgit allocation to rehabilitate Penang’s popular Batu Feringghi tourist belt.
