India-Pakistan Conflict: World Calls For Calm

The international community has urged India and Pakistan to exercise restraint, amid increasing tensions between the two nuclear rivals.
The UN Secretary General expressed grave concern over the latest developments in the region, adding that world cannot afford to see a military conflict breaking out between the two countries.
He also offered to help mediate an end to the crisis.
Meanwhile, China described India's airstrike within Pakistani territory as 'regretable'' and urged both nations to prioritize peace and stability.
As for Malaysia, a political analyst reckons that we should remain neutral due to our close relationship with both sides.
However, Professor Dato’ Dr Sivamurugan Paandian told us that Malaysia can help bring the two countries to the negotiating table.
Tensions between India and Pakistan have been high ever since militants attacked and killed a number of tourists in Indian-administered Kashmir last month.
Things boiled over this morning, when India launched a series of airstrikes within Pakistani territory.
Initially, Pakistani authorities put the death toll at 8... but that figure has since been revised to 26.
Islamabad claims they responded to the airstrike by shooting down several Indian fighter jets.
There have also been reports of both countries exchanging heavy artillery fire along border areas.
