You have just about a week to file your tax returns, as the deadline is around the corner!
Taxpayers are usually required to submit their income tax return forms in April and May, but this year the Inland Revenue Board decided to extend the deadline to next Tuesday due to the Movement Control Order.
The penalty for late filing is 10% on the balance of unpaid taxes after the June 30th deadline.
Wedding ceremonies for all faiths now allowed

PAGE welcome the reopening of schools
Schools will reopen on Wednesday, starting with the crucial examination year cohorts, those taking SPM and its equivalent, as well as STPM.
Parent Action Group for Education Honorary Secretary Tunku Munawirah Putra says it is somewhat safe to reopen schools as long as proper measures are in place to reduce the spread of Covid-19.
"It is a fine balance between risking exposure and nurturing their minds.Ultimately, the decision to send children to school depends on their parents and whether they are confident in the SOPs and their implementation. Research has shown that children and young people are less susceptible to contracting the virus."
She adds that prolonged school closures would cause more harm than the virus itself.
