No more Covid-19 red zones in the country!

There are no more Covid-19 red zones left in the country, after a drop in active cases in Rembau, Negeri Sembilan.

Rembau, the last red zone in the nation, is now classified as a yellow zone after the district reported fewer than 40 positive cases.

However, Negeri Sembilan still has the highest number of Covid-19 positive cases with 42, followed by KL and Selangor.

To date, 8,606 Covid-19 cases have been recorded in the country, with 191 active cases.

SOCSO has explained some of the reasons why applications for the Wage Subsidy Programme were rejected.

It says many failed to fill in the correct Business Registration Number and employer’s bank account number.

The programme was introduced under the Prihatin package to assist employers in retaining their workers.

Malaysia has asked Singapore to consider allowing Malaysians working in the Republic to commute daily between the two countries.

Upon discussing with Singapore, Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin said they agreed that the reopening of their borders should be done cautiously based on certain guidelines.

Meanwhile, the Health Ministry says Malaysia has not yet set a date to allow travel to countries that have reciprocal Covid-19 measures.
