We are back to recording single-digit new Covid-19 cases

Jul 06, 2020

We are back to recording single-digit new Covid-19 cases.

The Health Ministry reported 5 cases yesterday, bringing the total tally of infections in the country to 8,663.

Active cases stood at 77, with a 97.7% recovery rate.

Meanwhile, its Director General Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah says 2 clusters; Gombak and Cheras apartment have been given a clean bill of health.

The government has refuted a report by an international TV channel which alleged that Malaysia discriminated against undocumented migrants when it implemented the movement control order.

Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr Adham Baba says the allegations are inaccurate adding that Malaysia introduced the MCO to save everybody from Covid-19, regardless of whether the person is a citizen or not.

Officials in India have decided to defer the reopening the Taj Mahal in Agra until further notice, after 55 new cases of Covid-19 were detected within the last 4 days in the city.

The iconic monument was supposed to reopen today with strict social distancing measures.
