Three new COVID-19 clusters detected in Malaysia

There are now 161 active COVID-19 cases in the country, after 21 new infections were reported today. 

This brings our total number of infections to 8,861.

Meanwhile the Health Ministry has detected three new COVID-19 clusters. 

The death toll still stands at 123.

Public urged to report those flouting home quarantine rules

A 51-year-old man in Perak has been slapped with a RM1000 compound for flouting home quarantine SOPs. 

Police say the man was caught eating at a restaurant while still observing the 14-day mandatory quarantine period, following his return from Singapore last week. 

The public has been urged to report to police, if they come across anyone wearing a pink wristband in public. 

Husband of Youtube channel couple SuguPavithra charged in Sessions Court

The Ipoh Sessions Court has charged M.Sugu, the husband of local Youtuber S.Pavithra for allegedly hurting Pavithra at a hospital.

The alleged attack caused injuries to the victim's lips, cheek and right arm. 

Sugu has also been charged for being in possession of a weapon while at the hospital. 

Police caught him with a sickle within the hospital car park.
