You should continue donating blood!

Jul 27, 2020

You should continue donating blood to ensure the supply is always sufficient, especially during emergencies.

The Health Ministry says the public need to know the importance of donating blood even though the current blood bank supply in all hospitals is adequate.

It says only 2.2% of Malaysians are blood donors, adding that red blood cells have expiry dates as the shelf life is between 45 and 50 days.

The Health Ministry is tracing almost 3,000 travellers who returned to Malaysia before last Friday to deem them fit to be released from home quarantine.

It says nearly 17,000 travellers have been allowed to discontinue home quarantine, and have had their tracking bracelets removed by local health officials.

Travellers returning to Malaysia are now required to undergo quarantine at designated stations, instead of at home, following reports that many of them were taking home quarantine lightly and not following the rules.

DBKL will close all parks in KL if parents continue to ignore regulations under the recovery MCO and take children to playgrounds.

The KL mayor told Malaymail, more people had been defying a notice at the Perdana Botanical Garden which prohibits the use of its playground since the government relaxed the MCO.

DBKL has issued several public appeals against taking young children to public parks as they are categorised as a high-risk group for Covid-19 infections.
