Tun M names his new party PEJUANG!

Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad has announced that his new party will be named Parti Pejuang Tanah Air or PEJUANG!

The nonagenarian says this new party will further strengthen the race, religion, country and the people.

Meanwhile, his camp has named a lawyer as the candidate for the Slim state seat by-election in Perak.

The 38-year-old, however, could not contest under his new party's banner as it has yet to be registered.

This Saturday is nomination day for the by-election, with early voting scheduled for August 25.

The Health Ministry is still awaiting Covid-19 test results for the secondary student from Lembah Pantai in PJ, but confirmed that the student has dengue fever.

This is after claims that the Form Five student had been infected with the coronavirus went viral on social media recently.

Meanwhile, the daily number of Covid-19 cases returned to double digits, after 11 new cases were reported yesterday.

Thailand has been named as the safest holiday destination for international tourists amid the Covid-19 pandemic by a Berlin-based travel startup.

Others on the list include Greece, Italy, Cambodia, Japan and Ireland.

The travel company ranked the countries based on several criterias such as hours of sunshine per day for outdoor activities as well the national 14-day notification rates of new Covid-19 case.
