Health Ministry to investigate claims a minister allegedly avoided quarantine orders

The Health Ministry is looking into claims that a minister allegedly did not observe the mandatory quarantine period after returning from abroad.
Meanwhile, its Director General confirmed that the minister had undergone COVID-19 testing when he arrived from Turkey.
Earlier this week, the Seputeh MP claimed that the minister had gone overseas, but attended Parliament just one week later.
Mosques and suraus in seven Kedah districts ordered to close
In Kedah, all religious activities at mosques and suraus in high COVID-19 risk areas have been suspended.
The state Islamic Religious Affairs Department says it invovles seven districts including Baling, Kubang Pasu, and Padang Terap.
This following a recent rise in coronavirus cases in the state.
Penang government urges residents to only refer to Health Ministry for COVID-19 related news
The Penang government has urged its citizens to refer to the Health Ministry for credible COVID-19 information.
Its Chief Minister says this is because announcements made by other parties could be inaccurate and lead to public panic.
This is after a viral claim alleged a female worker at a tech company tested positive for the coronavirus.
