Administrative EMCO to be imposed in Amanjaya, Kedah

Starting midnight tonight, three zones in Aman Jaya, Kedah will be placed under an Administrative Enhanced MCO due to a rise in COVID-19 cases.
Defence Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob says under the order, residents are not allowed to leave the area, while outsiders are barred from entering.
He also urged employers not to take action against workers affected by the order.
The order will be in effect until further notice.
Almost RM500 million paid out under e-Penjana cashless scheme
Close to RM500 million has been distributed through the government's e-Penjana cashless scheme.
Deputy Finance Minister Mohd Shahar Abdullah told Parliament its to encourage the public to use cashless transactions and e-commerce during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Meanwhile an MP raised the issue of a possible leak of personal data.
Mohd Shahar assured that users' information is safe as the scheme requires one to register with the government's COVID-19 tracing app, MySejahtera.
Eligible Malaysians can receive the RM50 incentive through selected e-wallet services until September 24th.
Active COVID-19 infections drop to 177
The number of active COVID-19 infections has gone down to 177.
This is after 16 patients were released from hospital today, while only five new cases were reported.
Three of the new cases were local transmissions in Melaka.
The death toll remains unchanged at 125.
