IGP undergoing 14-day self-quarantine
Oct 06, 2020
IGP Tan Sri Abdul Hamid Bador is undergoing a 14-day self quarantine, even though he tested negative for Covid-19.
This as he attended a special meeting at the weekend in which Minister in the PM's Department Datuk Seri Dr Zulkifli Mohamad Al-Bakri had tested positive for the coronavirus.
Others who have to undergo self quarantine include PM Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin and Senior Minister for Security Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.
The Health Ministry has detected 3 new Covid-19 clusters, bringing the number of active clusters to 37.
Two of the new clusters, the Bah Sintok cluster in Kedah and the Bah Tanjung cluster in Terengganu, involved individuals with recent travelling history to Sabah.
The second phase of the 2020 Census, which involves face-to-face interviews, has been rescheduled to January next year due to the recent spike in Covid-19 cases.
It was originally scheduled to be conducted this month.
