Oct 12, 2020
All schools in areas classified as red zones in Petaling, Selangor will be closed starting today until October 25th.
The Education Ministry says the closure will affect almost 300 schools in the district.
It also urged parents to fetch their children from hostels to return home.
Meanwhile, 6 schools in Perak and 4 in Kedah have been ordered to close for 7 days starting today, following Covid-19 cases among teachers and pupils.

The Health Ministry says everyone including the committee members who were present in the meeting had been screened and the results were negative.
The Senior Minister for Security says 270 investigation papers have been opened in relation to cases of fake news with regards to the Covid-19 pandemic.
19 individuals have pleaded guilty and 12 others were issued with warning notices.
Also, the MCMC's Quick Response Team has made almost 400 denials and clarifications of fake news.
