6 new Covid-19 clusters have been identified in 4 states!

Oct 13, 2020

6 new Covid-19 clusters have been identified in 4 states!

The Health Ministry says two clusters were detected in KL and one each in Selangor, Putrajaya, Sabah and Johor.

This comes after we reported 563 new Covid-19 cases and two deaths yesterday,  bringing the total number of active cases to 5,039.

All learning institutions including schools in the Klang Valley will be closed during the conditional MCO period, which starts tomorrow.

The Education Ministry says this will also include kindergartens, boarding and private schools, as well as vocational and matriculation colleges.

The decision to impose the conditional MCO came following an increase in the number of Covid-19 positive cases.

Banking institutions are ready to assist clients that are affected by the conditional or enhanced MCO.

The Association of Banks says borrowers and customers in those areas should immediately contact their banks to request for repayment assistance.

It advised borrowers and customers in the affected areas to check their respective banks' websites for info on any changes in operating hours for over-the-counter services.

Meanwhile, banking services at self-service terminals such as ATMs and cash deposit machines will continue to be in service within the CMCO areas.
