Government to enforce Work from Home Order in CMCO areas
Oct 20, 2020
Starting this Thursday, private and public workers in the management level affected by the Conditional MCO in KL, Selangor, Putrajaya and Sabah have been ordered to work from home.
Defence Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob says this is after COVID-19 clusters were detected in work areas.
However, an exemption is given to those who must work at offices such as those dealing in finances, enforcement, and welfare.
As such, Datuk Seri Ismail says employers must issue a letter for all its workers who need to travel to their workplaces during the CMCO period.
Meanwhile, employees living in COVID-19 red zones who need to go to their workplace must undergo a swab test.
SOCSO will cover the costs of the test for contributors.
