The total number of Covid-19 cases around the world has now exceeded 50 million.
This, as October was the worst month of the pandemic so far, with a surge in cases in the US and parts of Europe.
The latest 7-day average compiled by Reuters also showed that global daily infections are rising by more than 540 thousand.
Meanwhile, back home the number of new coronavirus infections nationwide dropped back down to triple-digits with 852 new cases reported yesterday.
Four additional fatalities were also reported, bringing the overall death toll in Malaysia to 286.

It says the two helicopters did not have black boxes as they are light aircraft, with the investigation to rely on the statements of the two survivors.
Two people died while two others sustained injuries, after two choppers collided in mid-air, causing one to crash while the other made an emergency landing.
