Malaysia reports over 800 new COVID-19 cases

822 new COVID-19 cases were reported today, seven of which were imported cases. 

Sabah continues to record the highest tally with 259, followed by Negeri Sembilan with 225 and Selangor 178. 

Meanwhile, the death toll has risen to 302, after two more patients passed away due to the coronavirus.

EMCO in Medan 88, Sepang

The government has decided to enforce an Enhanced MCO in Medan 88 Bandar Baru Salak Tinggi, in Sepang, Selangor,due to a rise in COVID-19 cases. 

Defence Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yakkob says the order will be in effect until November 25th.

Meanwhile the EMCO in several areas nationwide will be lifted today.

Datuk Seri Ismail says they are the Penang Remand Prison, as well as the Taman Khazanah Indah and Mutiara Kasih flats in Lahad Datu, Sabah.

River pollution could involve elements of sabotage

Police have not ruled out the possibility of sabotage behind the pollution incident in Sungai Selangor, that caused the recent water cuts in the Klang Valley.

Cops found 40 barrels at a premises near there believed to contain one thousand litters of chemicals waiting for disposal.

Meanwhile, four people have been remanded for one week, for their alleged involvement over the river contamination incident.
