Health DG: Only safe Covid-19 vaccine will be used in Msia

The Health Ministry has assured that any Covid-19 vaccine used in Malaysia will first need to be approved and proven to be effective.

It says the vaccine will then be prioritised for high-risk groups and monitored for any side effects.

This comes after the government said it signed a preliminary deal to secure COVID-19 vaccines from US pharmaceutical giant Pfizer, when it becomes available.

Malaysia has once again seen more recoveries from Covid-19 than new cases.

This as almost 1,500 were discharged from hospital after recovering from the coronavirus yesterday.

Meanwhile, we added another 1,109 Covid-19 cases, with Sabah remaining as the largest source of new cases.

Starting today, teachers conducting classes on music will be allowed to hold one-to-one teaching lessons.

The decision was made at a special National Security Council meeting, following appeals from the Music Centre and Music Teachers Association.
