Health DG: Almost 500 Covid-19 cases reported in KL

Kuala Lumpur recorded the highest number of Covid-19 infections, accounting for nearly 500 of the 1,309 cases reported yesterday.

The Health Ministry says most of the cases in KL were linked to workplaces.

The good news is we reported almost 1,400 new recoveries, with nearly 11,500 active cases.

Four new Covid-19 clusters have been detected in KL, Selangor, Sabah and Kelantan.

This brings the total number of active clusters to 183.

Those found playing in groups in floodwaters in Rantau Panjang and Pasir Mas in Kelantan will be fined 1,000 ringgit.

Police say this is among the measures taken to curb the spread of COVID-19, which hasnshown an upward trend in the state.
