Highest COVID-19 daily tally to date

Malaysia recorded its highest number of new COVID-19 cases to date, with 2,234 infections.

Selangor reported a spike with 1,428 cases followed by 274 in Sabah and KL 136.

Meanwhile, three more people have succumbed to the virus raising the death toll to 396.

Health Minister under quarantine

The Health Minister has been placed under a House Surveillance Order and will undergo home quarantine until next week, as a precaution against COVID-19.

This is after he came into contact with a media personnel who was infected by the coronavirus.

The media worked visited the Minister’s office last week.

New Perak MB, along with five state EXCO members

Perak has officially appointed its new Menteri Besar.

Kota Tampan assemblyman Datuk Saarani Mohamad was sworn in to replace Datuk Seri Ahmad Faizal Azumu who lost a vote of confidence in the state assembly last week.

Meanwhile, five lawmakers from UMNO and Bersatu have been sworn in as state EXCO members.
