Over 1,900 new COVID-19 cases

Malaysia reported 1,925 new COVID-19 cases today.

Selangor recorded the highest tally with 747 infections, followed by 360 in KL, and Pahang 288. 

Meanwhile, two more patients have succumbed to the virus raising the death toll to 457.

EMCO enforced at Kamunting Correctional Center

The Kamunting Correctional Center in Taiping, Perak will be placed under an Enhanced MCO due to rise in COVID-19 cases.

The Defence Minister says it will take effect from midnight tonight.

On another note, the minister says police arrested over 140 people yesterday for breaching COVID-19 SOPs.

Army data network hacked

The Army has confirmed it was a victim of a cyber-attack.

However, its Commander General says it only involved certain segments and did not affect the actual web portal's operation.

Yesterday, it was reported that hackers put up indecent pictures on the web portal.
