Ministry vows speedy pothole repairs

The Works Ministry has promised to fix small road potholes within 24 hours.

It has also committed to ensure that every complaint received is resolved as soon as possible, regardless of the status of the person making the complaint.

This, after a recent incident where Science, Technology and Innovation Minister Khairy Jamaluddin was injured while cycling, when his bike hit a pothole.

SPAN to keep an eye on water services

The National Water Services Commission will ensure that water supply operators replace problematic pipes on time to ensure uninterrupted supply to consumers.

It says its closely monitoring the situation in each state to improve the quality of service.

This, after a problem with a main pipe led to yet another water cut for residents in parts of Shah Alam, Klang and Petaling on Tuesday.

Cops are going after errant bikers

The police are about to launch a large-scale operation against errant motorcyclists soon.

They’ll target both high-powered as well as smaller bikes…particularly those who modify their exhausts to make the machines louder.

The cops will also be going after those who ride in convoys that obstruct other road users.
