COVID-19 death toll hits 500 mark

Malaysia’s COVID-19 death toll has risen to 501, after seven more patients succumbed to the virus.
Meanwhile, 1,741 new cases were detected today.
Selangor recorded the highest number of new infections, with 687, followed by 303 in Sabah, and Johor 295.

EMCO enforced in Sabah village
An Enhanced MCO is set to be enforced at Kampung Timbang Dayang, in Kota Belud, Sabah due to a rise in COVID-19 cases.
The Defence Minister says the order will take effect from midnight tonight.
Meanwhile, the EMCO at the Jasin Correctional Centre in Melaka has been lifted today as scheduled.

Pahang worst hit by floods
More than 19,000 people in several states have been forced to evacuate to temporary relief centres.
According to the National Disaster portal, Pahang is the hardest-hit state with over 11,000 evacuees.
The other flood victims are in Johor, Kelantan, Perak, and Selangor.
