Malaysia reports record-high new COVID-19 cases

Malaysia has recorded 2,593 new COVID-19 cases today, the highest daily number of infections to date.

Selangor reported 965 cases, followed by 571 in Johor, and Sabah 405.

The Health Ministry has also detected 13 new clusters nationwide.

Meanwhile, the death toll has risen to 513, after four more patients died due to the virus.

CMCO enforced in Ipoh, Perak while EMCO at Tampoi Jaya workers’ dorm extended

A Conditional MCO is set to be enforced in Ipoh, Perak due to a rise in COVID-19 cases.

The Defence Minister says the order will come into effect from midnight tonight.

Meanwhile, Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob says the Enhanced MCO involving a workers’ dormitory in Tampoi Jaya, Johor will not end this Friday as scheduled.

It will be extended for two more weeks, starting this Saturday.

Datuk Seri Najib Razak dismisses claims UMNO working with DAP

Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak has rubbished claims that UMNO is preparing to work with DAP to form a new government.

Earlier, Tan Sri Annuar Musa, who was recently sacked as BN’s Secretary General, claimed that UMNO Chief Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi was colluding with PKR president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and DAP.
