Tougher regulations for annual sales soon
Dec 23, 2016
Starting January 1st, retail outlets planning to offer sales must give a minimum discount of 10 percent.
The Domestic Trade, Co-operatives and Consumerism Ministry says this is compared to current rules, in which traders can set any minimum amount they want.
It has also reduced the number of Annual Sales from 5 to 4, while outlets must have discounts for at least 50 percent of items during any sales campaigns, compared to the current 70 percent requirement.
