MACC nabs acting CEO of government-linked company

The MACC has arrested the acting CEO of a govt-linked company for alleged corruption and abuse of power.
In addition to the suspect, who is a Datuk, the commission also detained the company's international sales manager.
According to the Star, they allegedly solicited bribes between 2013 and 2015, linked to an African country's e-passport project.

Separately, an enforcement officer with the Agriculture and Agro-Based Industry Ministry has been remanded for 6 days, over another corruption probe.
He was detained by the MACC yesterday, for allegedly accepting a bribe of almost half a million ringgit bribe from a rice wholesaler.
