Foreign vehicles entering from Thailand to be hit with road charge
Jan 19, 2017
Malaysia will impose a road charge on foreign vehicles entering the country from Thailand by June, similar to the charge for Singaporean-registered vehicles.
The Transport Minister says this proves that the government was not specifically targeting Singaporean vehicles, when it implemented the policy in the southern border last November.
This, after Singapore said it's ready to scrap the reciprocal road charge it announced for Malaysian cars, if Putrajaya imposes similar fees at its other borders.
